Brief History of Nashville

A continental army general Francis Nash found Nashville in 1779 during the American revolutionary war. Due to its strategic location as a port on the Cumberland river Nashville grew very quickly. During American civil war Nashville was separated from the Tennessee and after the war this city reclaimed its position start to develop an assembling base. In 1806 Nashville become most famous city due to its river trade depot and in a few years, it become a political center of the state. Its importance further enhanced when railroad is advent in 1850 and last American Civil War took placed outside of the Nashville. In the start of 20th century its population and economy grew very rapidly and in these years Nashville’s raise as the hub of American country and traditional music.

Along with the music Nashville is famous for its pleasant park, beautiful streets that makes it one of the top cities in the United States.
